Lifeguard towers are situated along the beach with half a mile frequency. Sometimes it is getting rough especially in summers, when it is a lot of people. And if extra help needed around particular station the Beach Patrol car is always at service. It brings an additional rescue surf-board, red cans and a pair of strong hands (legs and so on).

Tracing the curvy roads in Hollywood Hills we go to the Griffith Observatory. This is where we have learnt about "light pollution".

Robert is one of the Observatory-museum members who stands for night sky being clear from an extra artificial light. He takes care of 80 years old telescope there and he loves stars. The stars which are up, not the ones which are sleeping in shiny Hollywood down the hill. Robert works in this museum for many years, and knows maybe as much as a real astronomer, answering visitors' questions. We got enchanted and stood our line to the Zeiss Telescope, our reward was the clear view of Saturn with rings and things )).
